OPC deployed a multidisciplinary team of 11 people (with subsurface, facilities, drilling and economics expertise) to undertake an extensive 5-month re-development study for a group of oilfields in the Middle East
The subsurface team reviewed static inputs, updated / built and calibrated the simulation models of five large producing oil carbonate fields in the Middle East (single and dual permeability). The subsurface team also reviewed the surrounding exploration potential.
We subsequently conducted field re-development studies, with the objective of helping the client to decide on an optimum number of wells per field, and on the optimum capacity of new Central Processing Facilities. Forecasts were made with a range of possible drilling options and liquid constraints. The results were then integrated with the surface and commercial constraints using an in-house spreadsheet.
